最近買ったCD：Fernando Samalea 「Fan」

気に入ったアルバムの参加ミュージシャンやプロデューサーを辿って、少しずつ好きな音楽の輪を広げていき、その分野に少しずつ詳しくなる…音楽好きなら割とよくやる手口と思う。先日そんな買い方で数枚CDを買い込んだ。その一枚が「アルゼンチン音響派」のバンドネオンやパーカッションのプレーヤーFernando Samaleaの「Fan」というアルバム。

前々からアルゼンチンの結構尖った（ただサウンドはJuana Molinaを思わせる浮遊間もある）女性アーチストMaria Eva Alvisturの「Insomne」や「Avatar」といったアルバムを気に入っており、参加したFernando Samaleaというミュージシャンに関心を持ち始めた。

手に入れた「Fan」はかなり怪しいというかいかがわしい雰囲気すら感じるジャケット写真で、中にはさらにいかがわしさが漂うブックレット（スペイン語なので内容は把握できず）。サウンドもいかがわしい点が多々あるのだけど、結構ポップで聴きやすくもある。時にチープなエレクトロニカもしくはロック的リズム隊と音響系的電子音、さらに哀愁漂うというよりスカしてるという印象が先に来るタンゴ・テイストのバンドネオンのミクスチャーは、深夜トーキョー徘徊のお伴に最適かと…気に入った。前述のMaria Eva Alvisturもベース等で参加。
